As the premier referral center for children with cancer in the Tri-state Region, the expert staff aims to improve the understanding of pediatric hematology/oncology disorders through clinical and scientific based research.Children with cancer get the latest and best treatments by enrolling in clinical trials sponsored by the Children's Oncology Group, a national childhood research coalition. Through the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Gundersen Lutheran collaborates with other COG member institutions committed to identify more effective treatment methods. As a result, children and adolescents treated at Gundersen Lutheran receive the same promising therapy close to home that's offered anywhere in the country. |
