| | Orthopaedic Trauma Service
Our orthopaedic trauma services focuses on the acute care of complex poly-traumatized patients, those with fractures of the pelvis and hip socket, and those with complex fractures involving the joints.
Additionally, complications of post-traumatic musculoskeletal injuries such as traumatic arthritis, fracture nonunion/malunion and osteomyelitis (bone infection) are evaluated and treated. Emergency medicine specialists, general and vascular surgical services as well as other Gundersen Lutheran specialists such as internal medicine, infectious disease and plastic surgery assist the orthopaedic trauma services team in providing the most comprehensive care of traumatic musculoskeletal injuries.
