General Adult Orthopaedics and Joint Replacement

To ensure that our patients receive the best possible care, we use a multidisciplinary approach to patient care involving the department of Orthopaedic Surgery with assistance from other Gundersen Lutheran specialists such as Internal Medicine, Infections Disease, Cardiology, Pulmonology, Radiology, Physical Therapy and Social Services.

Our General Adult and Joint Replacement Orthopaedic surgeons specialize in the surgical and non-operative treatment of disorders of bones, joints and their associated soft tissues. All physicians provide fracture care and post-traumatic management of musculoskeletal injuries. Additionally, inflammatory and degenerative problems of the ankle, knee, hip and shoulder joint are seen and treated.

Treatment options range from medicated pain management, to physical therapy or surgical procedures such as bone and soft tissue reconstruction or joint replacement. Additionally, Gundersen Lutheran is one of the few Medical Centers nationwide offering ankle joint replacement. In some cases, less invasive arthroscopic surgery may be an option.
