Problems involving the foot and ankle are treated by Podiatric surgeons and an Orthopaedic surgeon with special training in this area of Orthopaedics. They care for all conditions of the foot and ankle including overuse injuries, arthritis, infections, congenital deformities and deformities resulting from trauma or previous fractures. Medical and surgical care for bunions, toe, forefoot, heel and ankle problems are all available.
Gundersen Lutheran is one of the few Medical Centers nationwide offering joint replacement of the ankle. In addition, two Podiatric surgeons are available to see patients in Decorah, Iowa.
