Welcome to the Health Resource Libraries, where Consumer Health Librarians can help you locate the information you need to make informed decisions about your healthcare. In our collections, you'll find books, videos, audiocassettes, CD's, DVD's, health magazines and more. You can check out materials for a period of three weeks. The Health Resource Center Libraries are open from 8:00 am - 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday.
The John & Nettie Mooney Health Resource Center Library is located on the first floor of the La Crosse Clinic, directly behind the main information desk. This unique space includes: computers with Internet access, a children’s area with books and activities, a collection of anatomical models, an audiovisual room, and much more.
The John & Nettie Mooney Health Resource Center - Onalaska is located on the first floor of the Onalaska Clinic. The library offers books, videos, and magazines on a variety of health topics including pregnancy, eyes and vision, heart health, and others. It also features a comfortable reading area with newspapers and study desks.
The Stanek Cancer Resource Library is located in the Hematology/Oncology waiting room on the second floor of the East Building. It includes materials on many different types of cancer, cancer diagnosis and treatment, nutrition, and coping with cancer and treatment side effects. Also available are CD's and CD players for patient use during treatment at the clinic.
The John & Nettie Mooney Health Resource Center - East is located in the Radiation/Oncology waiting room on the first floor of the East Building. It includes materials on breast cancer, breast cancer diagnosis and treatment, neurosciences, pain management, ophthalmology, and plastic surgery. The Health Resource Center - East also has CD's and CD players for patients to use while undergoing cancer treatment.
The Prairie du Chien Clinic Health Resource Center is located in the lobby of the Prairie du Chien Clinic. The library has a book and video collection, a computer with Internet access, and a TV/VCR for video viewing. The library is staffed by volunteers, and has a self-service checkout when volunteers are not present.
The Al & Pauline Weis Health Resource Center is located on the second floor of the Gundersen Lutheran Clinic in Decorah, Iowa. Books, pamphlets, and DVDs on a wide variety of health topics are available for checkout or use at the library. Like the Prairie du Chien Clinic Health Resource Library, the Weis Health Resource Center is staffed by volunteers who can easily put patrons in contact with the librarians at the La Crosse campus for more personalized health information.
