Welcome to Gundersen Lutheran Medical Foundation’s Medical Research site. Our research program is clinically oriented science that seeks evidence-based, reproducible answers to important questions that pertain to the health of the citizens of the tri-state area. This research helps direct Gundersen Lutheran’s medical staff to provide patients with the most up-to-date advancements in medical care.
 When new medications, medical treatments, medical devices, or diagnostic tests are developed, researchers collect information about them by conducting clinical research trials or “studies.” Whether you are a patient who agrees to take part in a clinical research trial or you contribute through charitable giving, your support is vital to Gundersen Lutheran Medical Foundation’s research mission.
