The Norma J. Vinger Center for Breast Care provides state-of-the art, compassionate, comprehensive, interdisciplinary patient and family care. In addition, the Norma J. Vinger Center for Breast Care is committed to early detection, education, cancer prevention, and clinical research.
The Norma J. Vinger Center for Breast Care is nationally recognized as an interdisciplinary model for early detection, efficient diagnosis, and individualized treatment as well as comprehensive follow-up care.
Despite advances made in breast cancer treatment, early detection remains the critical factor that allows most women to live normal lives. Through the Center, Gundersen Lutheran supports empowered self-care among female patients of all ages.
Our approach to care is holistic and interdisciplinary. We don't just treat cancer, we treat the whole patient — body, mind and spirit — by offering the best in clinical care and compassionate support.
The Norma J. Vinger Center for Breast Care is staffed by an interdisciplinary team of experienced physicians, surgeons, nurses and technologists. They are skilled in the latest methods of early detection, rapid diagnosis, modern treatment, and reconstructive surgery.
Interdisciplinary breast care joins together the talents and training of physicians and surgeons throughout the Gundersen Lutheran system. Here, the timeline for treatment is shortened by coordinated care. Gundersen Lutheran caregivers network their skills and schedules to reduce the time it takes to evaluate breast abnormalities and start the right treatment.
