Gundersen Lutheran's Global Partner's Tanzania team will work with staff at the Nyakato Health Center (near Mwanza) to provide much needed health care for the people of Nyakato and the surrounding community. With sparse health care, the high incidence of HIV/AIDS, malnutrition and tropical disease, our assistance is greatly needed.
The Tanzania team partners with
International Health Partners, TZ, a 501C3 NGO providing medical and surgical care for patients as well as educational sessions with the local staff. Our primary objective is to provide continuing sustainable health care, education and supplies therefore enhancing health care needs long-term.

Gundersen Lutheran's partnership with Nyakato Health Center will focus on offering general medical care, general surgery and OB/Gyn care by sending medical teams twice a year. The medical trip will typically be 16 days in length which includes travel time, daily work at the clinic (closed on Sunday) and an optional concluding three-day safari.
