Kids stories...
Wyatt Peterson of Holmen is like many other kids his age. He loves swimming, playing baseball and riding his tricycle. But, unlike most 4-year-olds, Wyatt doesn’t have feeling in his legs. He was born with spina bifida, meaning the bones in his spinal cord didn’t fully form. His condition has required multiple surgeries—the first at Gundersen Lutheran when he was only 7 hours old—and ongoing doctor’s visits and therapy sessions. Through it all, Children’s Miracle Network® has been there for the Peterson family. Along with meal vouchers, Children’s Miracle Network helped the Petersons purchase Wyatt’s adaptive hand tricycle and a mobile stander that helps him move more quickly. Despite everything he’s been through, Wyatt remains happy and easy going, charming everyone he meets.
