Designed for the fast-paced lifestyle of executives, the Gundersen Lutheran Executive Physical is a one-day, personal experience comprised of highly individualized and thorough examinations, tailored to your medical needs, health risks, age and personal wishes. You are welcomed and personally escorted by an associate who will assist with your requests and needs.
The one-day event includes:
- Cardiac stress testing with electrocardiogram (EKG) to assess any silent or asymptomatic heart disease
- Spirometry lung volume testing to assess for underlying lung diseases such as emphysema, chronic obstructive lung disease or asthma
- An extensive medical history and diagnostic examination
- Comprehensive laboratory testing that includes:
- A complete blood count and blood chemistry to determine internal organ function
- Full urinalysis including a microscopic and chemical analysis of the urine to detect blood, protein, sugar and evidence of infection
- Fasting lipid screening for total cholesterol, HDL, LDL and triglyceride levels
- Highly sensitive C-reactive protein marker for vascular inflammation, which helps assess cardiovascular risk
- Prostatic Specific Antigen (PSA) a protein produced in the prostate by males, which can be elevated in diseases of the prostate
- Aortic ultrasound
- Carotid ultrasound
- Renal ultrasound
- Chest X-ray
- Pap smear, mammogram and bone density (females)
- Nutrition counseling and body composition analysis with a registered dietitian
- Exercise physiologist counseling to develop a personalized exercise program
- Hearing and vision screening
- Summary visit with physician
- Use of a private office with all the amenities of an executive’s office (including phone, facsimile, television, wireless high-speed Internet access)
- Gourmet lunch provided in your private office
- A leather personal health notebook containing printed copies of all test reports with physician summary and recommendations.
